Skopje, 21 September 2019 (MIA) – The government is against passing the public prosecution law – SDSM is obstructing the process using legal strongarm tactics on their political opponents, according to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in an interview with MIA.
“I’m not optimistic,” Mickoski said. “I’m convinced they don’t want to reach an agreement.”
Noting that he hadn’t talked to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev since the last leaders meeting, Mickoski said the negotiating sides hold very differing positions.
“We stand for proceedings and unconditional abiding by laws and the Constitution.
“They stand for individuals, people who have served Zaev all this time,” he said, adding he was expecting the working groups to meet again soon.
Mickovski also noted that he hadn’t been called in to the Public Prosecutor’s Office although he had said he was in possession of materials that a whistleblower had given him on the Racket case. mr/
