Macedonian Radio Television to co-produce Zoki Poki children’s TV show

The Macedonian Radio Television has signed a deal to co-produce the newly filmed Zoki Poki children's TV show based on the country's best-loved book character, Kino Oko said in a press release.

Skopje, 20 September 2019 (MIA) – The Macedonian Radio Television has signed a deal to co-produce the newly filmed Zoki Poki children’s TV show based on the country’s best-loved book character, Kino Oko said in a press release.

Directed by Aleksandar Popovski and produced by Robert Naskov, Zoki Poki brings to the TV screen the eponymous children’s classic written by Macedonian writer Olivera Nikolova.

The book, first published in 1963, has been on school reading lists for more than five decades.

The co-production received the green light from the MRT after it was submitted to its open call announced in line with the Law on Audio and Audio-visual media services, the production company’s press release reads.

The show is also supported by the North Macedonia Film Agency. mr/
