Skopje, 14 September 2019 (MIA) – Japanese-Croatian pianist Tomohiro Adachi will give a concert at Ohrid’s St. Sophia church on Saturday at 8 pm.
Adachi graduated from the Academy of Music at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 2007.
He has performed in Europe, Australia, and in East Asia, and won awards at the Seattle International Music Competition, the Johannes Brahms International Music Competition, the Camilo Togi International Piano Competition, the Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition, and the Roma International Piano Competition.
Adachi is the founder of the Japanese-Croatian Music Society in Tokyo. He often performs works of Croatian composers, including Dora Pejacevic, Bozidar Kuntz, Boris Papandopoulo, Ivo Josipovic, Franco Parac, and others.
The St. Sophia concert is organized by the Ohrid Summer festival, which takes place annually from July 12 to Aug. 20, as part of its year-long efforts to promote classical music.
