SPO’s Rustemi hadn’t felt any serious pressure, he says

Following his two-hour testimony at Friday's hearing in the Public Prosecution, prosecutor Burim Rustemi said his information on the SPO's Post Bank case would help the Racket case investigation.

Skopje, 16 August 2019 (MIA) – Following his two-hour testimony at Friday’s hearing in the Public Prosecution, prosecutor Burim Rustemi said information he gave on the SPO’s Post Bank case would help the Racket case investigation.

“I gave my testimony as a witness in the Racket case,” Rustemi told the press. “I was asked about the Post Bank case I’m the lead prosecutor in.

“I answered all the questions by the prosecutor; I gave her all the information. I told the truth, and I think my testimony will contribute towards the development of the investigation as far as it relates to the Post Bank case.”

Asked about rumors that Katica Janeva threatened the SPO staff “they would go down together with her,” Rustemi said he would’ve reported it if he had felt under pressure.

“I didn’t feel any serious influencing on my testimony today. Otherwise, I would report anyone who had influenced me,” Rustemi said. /mr
